The well-known Straffe Hendrik Quadrupel is the base for this beer: a rich and dark beer that is brewed in the family brewery De Halve Maan. The beer ages for at least 1 year in oak barrels in a medieval cellar at the brewery. The barrels are carefully selected by our brew masters and haver diverse origins: Bordeaux, Cognac, Porto... It gives the beer extra tannines and depth.

For the 2020 edition, the brew masters have yet again made a unique blend of beers, by combining different editions of the Heritage
